Most small businesses are too small for a broker

I've Sat on Both Sides of The Table.

As a business owner, I know what it’s like to build something and wonder what it’s actually worth. As a licensed broker, I know exactly what buyers look for and what kills deals.

I’m no stranger to small business. I’ve owned businesses in real estate, e-commerce, and a brick-and-mortar fitness franchise. I’ve ridden the roller coaster of highs and lows seven days a week.

When I went into business brokerage, I helped owners sell businesses ranging from a $30,000 hair salon to a million-dollar liquor store. I saw the same thing over and over: the process worked well for larger businesses with professional representation. For everyone else – the owner-operators, the small shops, the businesses that brokers won’t call back – there was nothing.

So I built it. Every resource, template, and service on this site exists because small business owners deserve the same process that larger businesses take for granted without paying a 10% commission to access it.

“Most owners go to market with a number in their head and a hope that a buyer will show up. The ones who sell and for a realistic price are the ones who treated it like a professional transaction.”
